Investment to help company drive growth and streamline operations globally
Kuala Lumpur — Scientex Incorporated Berhad (SIB), today announced its investment in the core components of mySAP.com, an e-business platform delivering industry specific e-services for manufacturers. The solution from SAP, the leading inter-enterprise software provider, is in line with SIB’s corporate strategy to capitalize on the Internet to create shareholder value by increasing efficiencies, reducing costs and developing new business opportunities. mySAP.com is part of SIB’s strategy to overhaul its existing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and put in place an open and collaborative e-business platform that will enable them to, in future, collaborate with their partners and customers via the Internet.
The announcement was made at the signing ceremony between Scientex Incorporated Berhad (SIB) and SAP Malaysia. Representing Scientex Incorporated Bhd, was Group Executive Director and Managing Director of Industrial Packaging Division, Mr. Lim Peng Jin, while SAP Malaysia was represented by its Consulting Director, Lee Choy Leng.
mySAP.com will provide an integrated system throughout the group’s operations, enabling the company to gain better control both internally and externally. The initial implementation involves Scientex Packaging Film Sdn. Bhd. and Scientex Resources Sdn Bhd, subsidiaries involving in the manufacturing of industrial stretch film.
This investment is the first step in realizing SIB’s vision, to extend their business through the Internet, to embrace their ecosystem of customers, partners and suppliers to achieve supply chain efficiencies, collaborate with stakeholders and manage customer relationships. mySAP.com provides the e-business foundation necessary to extend SIB’s business beyond the enterprise.
