Singapore — SAP Asia Pacific, the leading provider of e-business software solutions, has announced record revenues of EUR 769 million representing 52 percent growth for the financial year ending December 31 2000. SAP Asia Pacific is the fastest growing region in SAP and this excellent performance exceeded SAP’s initial expectations, particularly against the backdrop of pessimistic market sentiments.
Revenue growth was primarily driven by mySAP.com, SAP’s flagship e-business platform. SAP Asia Pacific also grew its installations in the region by over 71 percent to nearly 5,000.
“mySAP.com has been the key driver of SAP’s sterling performance in the region, especially in a year where most technology companies have under-performed. In the region, SAP customers have deployed mySAP.com to take their business beyond the four walls of their enterprise and into their value chain as they realize the value from integrating and collaborating with their customers, partners and employees. We will continue to invest and build on our early success with mySAP.com,“ said Les Hayman, President & CEO, SAP Asia Pacific and Board Member, SAP AG.
Last year, new customers who have chosen mySAP.com include Sony Computer Entertainment (PlayStation.com), Wollongong City Council and the Roads and Traffic Authority, Australia; Hongta and Stateline in China; LIPPOSHOP.COM, Indonesia; Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Japan; CJ Corporation, LG Chemical, SK Corporation and TS Corporation in Korea; PSC Naval Dockyard and Puncak Niaga in Malaysia; Ayala Land, Philippines; City Developments Ltd in Singapore, CISCO (Commercial & Industrial Security Corporation) Singapore and Singapore Airlines and Times of India.
