Mumbai , India — Larsen & Toubro Limited, Electrical and Electronics Division (L&T–EBG), is the first company in India to announce the ‘go-live’ of Strategic Enterprise Management (SEM), a key functional area of mySAP™ Financials. This initiative marks a significant step towards strengthening the company’s business intelligence and value-based management for competitive advantage.

L&T-EBG’s strategic plans will be funneled down the line through the deployment of a ‘Balanced Scorecard,’ helping executives monitor the performance at all levels.”
Strategic Enterprise Management, a key functional area of mySAP™ Financials, supports integrated strategic planning, performance monitoring, business consolidation and effective stakeholder communications, thus enabling value-based management.

The SEM functionality uses mySAP Business Information Warehouse (mySAP™ BW), which enables business performance management and analytical application . It also forms a platform and central hub for implementing various other functionalities of mySAP.com®. The Strategic Enterprise Management capabilities of mySAP Financials are using mySAP™ BW, which is fed with data from the ERP solution, SAP R/3 Enterprise, and other information systems.
