Indonesia’s sole distributor of DEUTZ diesel and gas engines focuses on improving efficiency of business processes with mySAP All-in-One Solution for the Machinery Industry
Jakarta, Indonesia — PT. Menara Bina Diesel, the sole distributor for DEUTZ, one of the world’s leading independent manufacturers of diesel and gas engines, today announced that it is implementing a mySAP All-in-One solution for the machinery industry, as part of its strategy to accelerate company growth and improve customer service. To help achieve this, the company is upgrading its IT infrastructure.
“Our previous systems were outdated. Various financial and distribution functions had to be executed manually oftentimes resulting in late availability of required information and inaccuracies” explained Bernd Freudenmann, General Manager of PT. Menara Bina Diesel. “Furthermore, our systems were not integrated which prevented effective data consolidation, hindering our monitoring and controlling processes” With SAP, Mr. Bernd Freudenmann stated that he expects to see a significantly faster availability of required data, improvement of productivity, reduction of inaccuracies and increased efficiency of their overall business processes.
Mr. Bernd Freudenmann further informed that the company considered several other software vendors including Microsoft (Great Plains & Navision), Oracle and Sun Systems but at the end decided to go with SAP. “SAP’s standard of environment perfectly fits our needs and requirements. In addition, our principal – DEUTZ AG – also implemented SAP, which makes the exchange of data much easier.”
PT. Menara Bina Diesel is implementing a number of key modules of mySAP All-in-One including Material Management, Financials and Costing and Sales& Distribution.
