Blue Bird Group Indonesia, the country’s leading Transportation Company with a fleet of almost 13,000 vehicles comprising of taxis, limousines, buses and container trucks, announced their successful implementation of MySAP Business Suite during their go-live ceremony at their headquarters in Jakarta. mySAP Business Suite is the world’s most comprehensive family of adaptive business solutions, providing best-of-breed functionality built for complete integration, industry-specific capabilities, unlimited scalability, and easy collaboration over the Internet. The implementation includes SAP functionalities such as financials, controlling, sales & distribution, material management and fleet management. In addition, two functionalities have been developed specifically for Blue Bird: Driver Management and Operation & Reservation Management to interface with their VB based system.
During the go-live ceremony, Noni S.A. Purnomo , VP Business Development of Blue Bird Group (ERP Project Director) said “We have invested in SAP to build a new foundation for a better future. Furthermore, with SAP, Blue Bird Group is now more confident they can maintain their leadership position, even if foreign investors decide to enter and compete in this market.

With the wide functionality of mySAP Business Suite , Blue Bird can easily monitor in real-time such important information such as the driver’s details , the number of customer orders of each depot , which vehicles are operating and which are under maintenance, fuel consumption and so on. Such data will serve as useful information for the board to make decisions quickly, solve problem areas and improve efficiency.

The implementation was executed by SAP Consulting together with HERMIS Consulting, which started in November 2003 and was completed in July 2004.
