Central Crime Branch of Bangalore Police Raids Unauthorized SAP Training Centre

SAP Intensifies Drive against Unauthorized Training Institutes

BANGALORE, INDIASAP India, the leading provider of business software solutions, has today announced its decision to further intensify its drive against unauthorized institutes that claim to impart training on SAP technologies. The company has decided to take severe legal action against unauthorized institutes. Demonstrating its drive, the company last week reported that the Central Crime Branch of Bangalore Police raided the offices of United Systems India Pvt. Ltd. which offered unauthorized training using unlicensed SAP software.

Alan Sedghi, President and Managing Director, SAP Indian Sub-Continent said, “SAP strives to ensure the protection of its own intellectual property and that of its partners in all markets. We are pleased that the Indian government has put in place measures that allow software companies to ensure that their rights to such a valuable asset are properly safeguarded. Illegal training centres such as the one that was raided last week must effectively be stopped from using stolen materials and conducting training that may not meet the standards set by SAP and its partners and thus invalidates the investment that students are making to acquire SAP knowledge.”

“We thank the Department of Police Government of Karnataka for this action and do hope to work closely with them and with other Police Departments across the country in putting an end to this menace.”

SAP has set up a community of Education Partners around India who offer well-designed and accessible training to the market. Prospective learners should always check the accreditation of any education centre prior to parting with any fees. SAP’s training partners in India are – Siemens Information Systems Limited and Genovate Solutions (I) Pvt. Ltd.
