SAP SummIT’05 Bangkok Celebrates 10 Years of Growth and Success

Opening Ceremony Officiated by Minister of ICT, SAP Reiterates Commitment to Thai Market

BangkokSAP Thailand, the world’s leading provider of business software solutions, today opened its flagship annual event, SAP SummIT’05 Bangkok, at Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre. The event was presided by Minister of Information and Communications Technology, Mr. Suwit Khunkitti with Mr. Hans-Peter Klaey, President, SAP Asia Pacific, and Mr. Alan Sedghi, Managing Director, SAP South Asia.

Mr. Suwit Khunkitti made an impressive speech at the opening ceremony as his vision is to provide governmental and private organizations with policy IT2010 aiming to create Knowledge Based Society and have e-electronic campaign implemented to be e-Government, e-Industry, e-Commerce, e-Education and e-Society.

SummIT’05 Bangkok is a key opportunity for SAP Executives to meet up with the Thai media and potential clients. Mr. Alan Sedghi, Managing Director, SAP South Asia, shared his strategy to keep up with market’s pace and remain the company’s position as number one. He said, “SAP has been working on building a strong base in Thailand’s market for 10 years, gaining trust from all clients. Addressing the urgent needs and worries of companies affected by the recent hostile takeovers in the software industry, SAP has launched the Safe Passage Program to assure that maintenance plan and software migration strategies will be taken care of perfectly.
