Jakarta, Indonesia — SAP Indonesia announced that PT. Nippon Indosari Corpindo, one of Indonesia’s largest producers and distributors of bakery products under the brand names ‘Sari Roti’ and ‘Boti’, has implemented mySAP All-in-One. mySAP All-in-One is a prepackaged, industry-specific version of mySAP Business Suite with built-in content, tools and methodologies for a cost-effective, turnkey implementation. mySAP All-in-One solutions offer out-of-the-box flexibility combined with the power of SAP’s world-class business solutions. mySAP All-in-One was selected for its diverse feature set, required to support the entire business processes from Forecasting, Planning, Production and Distribution. The implementation involved these modules: Production Planning (PP), Material Management (MM), Sales Distribution (SD), Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO).
Established in 1996, PT. Nippon Indosari Corpindo produces bakery products under the brandname of ‘Sari Roti’ and ‘Boti’ with production facilities in Cikarang and Pasuruan. Since its inception, the company has experienced steady growth and now supplies two major cities throughout Java. “To support our ambition to become the largest bakery products company in the country, and to provide high quality products at the most competitive prices, we felt it was time to implement a powerful solution that could integrate our business processes and create a more efficient way of doing business”, says Alex Honki, Project Manager of Nippon Indosari Corpindo.
The company previously relied on an in-house developed system which was no longer adequate and so their search for a new solution began. “Our search was quite intensive”, says Alex, “a number of international vendors were considered, but we found our match in SAP.” Alex cites that their choice fell on SAP since they found SAP had an impressive track record in the fast moving consumer goods industry and that it offered a complete feature. “SAP’s end-to-end support for all key business processes will give us a fully integrated supply chain and a full range of logical and analytical capabilities”
Looking ahead, Alex hopes that SAP will bring the company to a new level of success. “The benefits we will reap from SAP will be significant – benefits in terms of costs, revenues and strategy”, Alex concludes.
