SAP India honours the Best Run Businesses that are setting global benchmarks in excellence at SAP ACE 2007

SAP ACE 2007 receives enthusiastic customer response across the Indian Subcontinent

The Nominations demonstrate effective use of technology for outstanding business transformation

New DelhiSAP India today announced the winners of SAP ACE 2007 (Awards for Customer Excellence) – the second edition of its annual awards in recognition of customer excellence. A total of 38 winners were felicitated in an impressive awards ceremony held on 27th August, 2007 in New Delhi. The SAP ACE awards 2007 received enthusiastic nominations from a large number of organizations – large, medium and small.

The SAP ACE awards span across three categories which include: overall category, midsize category and small enterprises category. The evaluation process comprised of four stages including scrutiny of the nomination form, short listing via interviews, onsite review and final assessment by the jury after a detailed panel discussion. The expert members of the jury comprised of R. Subramanian, Managing Director, Subhiksha Trading Services, V.M. Venkatarajan, former IT Advisor – TVS Group, T. Ravindran, General Manager, ONGC, Amit Mukherjee, Vice President and Group CIO, RPG Group, Krishna Sundar, Chairperson – ERP Center & CFC, IIM-Bangalore and Ranjan Das, President & CEO, SAP Indian Subcontinent.

This year’s nominations received a rich participation from companies of all sizes – with revenues ranging from less than Rs. 20 Crores to the largest companies in the Indian Sub continent. Corporates across diverse businesses like garments, retail, telecom, construction, consumer goods, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, steel & oil producers, energy, utilities, IT/ITES enthusiastically participated in SAP ACE. The nominations also include a rich spread of projects across diverse verticals like HR, SCM, NetWeaver & BI implementations, and managing growth across many diversified businesses.
