The Park becomes the first company in the Indian hospitality sector to go-live on SAP

IndiaThe Park Group of Hotels announced that it has gone live on SAP ERP – Human Capital Management (HCM) solution in its quest to optimize Human Resource Management and bring about standardization and integration across the organization. The solution was implemented by TCS across The Park units in Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai and Vizag. With this, The Park becomes the first company in the Indian hospitality sector to go-live on SAP.

SAP was selected to provide a flexible and reliable HCM solution for managing and improving the range of transactional, tactical, and strategic processes associated with human resources. Through the implementation the organization aims at enabling HR systems and processes to add value to the overall business strategy and prepare for the challenges of a fast-growing and expanding organization.

The challenges faced by The Park Hotels before deploying SAP solutions included an archaic system with lack of real time benefits and in need of consistency and integration across the organization. Following the SAP Implementation, The Park has derived business benefits like standardized and uniform HR system and processes, improved planning & decision making through real-time reporting mechanisms, increased efficiency through process automation and enhanced employee engagement levels through automation and interactive self service convenience.

“As an organization, we are witnessing remarkable growth every year and the importance of having a best-in-class system to complement this growth and prepare for the challenges cannot be overstated. Our people are our key strength and pivotal to our success. Hence, amalgamating our HR knowledge and functions with our business process and strategy through SAP has helped us to maximize our human resources potential. SAP solutions have enabled us in managing change and getting people and processes together on a common platform” said Mr. Vijay Dewan, Managing Director, The Park Hotels.

“The hospitality industry in India is increasingly leveraging information technology to improve operational efficiencies and sharpen its competitive edge. We are delighted to support The Park with our industry-leading human capital management solutions and provide the tools necessary to manage their most important asset — their people,” said Mr. Ranjan Das, President & CEO, SAP Indian Subcontinent. ”We look forward to work closely with The Park on their business transformation journey.”
