SAP China Honoured As “IT Industry Employer of Choice”

Award Recognizes SAP China’s Achievements in Creating Environment of Innovation and Fostering Local Talent

BeijingSAP, the world’s leading provider of business solutions,
today announced that it was honoured as the “IT Industry Employer of Choice” at the “Top
Chinese IT Employers of 2007” awards ceremony.

Co-sponsored by China Information World and CCID Consulting Company Ltd, this is
the first time an award of this kind has targeted the Chinese IT industry. Nominee companies
were evaluated on: operating margin, employee engagement and commitment to social
responsibility. Winners are highly regarded as model companies which not only set best practice
standards but are also seen as role models in the quest to shape a new image for the Chinese IT
industry.

The IT Industry Employer of Choice award reflects the recognition of industry peers,
customers and employees who acknowledge SAP’s continued commitment to developing and
retaining local talent as well as creating a people-centric working environment which fosters
innovation. The recognition also fuels SAP’s drive to continue attracting new talent, maximising
the potential of all employees and aligning the workforce with the overall business strategy to
deliver better value to customers.

“We are pleased to be recognised as the IT Industry Employer of Choice in China,” said
Mark Gibbs, Executive Vice President, SAP North Asia. “Our Employer of Choice program
aims to create a sustainable culture which makes SAP not just ‘A Great Place to Work’, but also
‘A Great Place to Grow’ – that means a working environment which advocates the permission,
practical assistance and support to help employees manage work and life priorities, at the same
time providing increased career opportunities.”

With China’s dramatic growth fueling intense competition and a highly mobile talent
pool, Chinese enterprises trying to remain globally competitive are increasingly faced with the
challenges of attracting and retaining world class talent.

“At SAP, across the entire Asia Pacific Japan region, we offer an ideal starting point for
young professionals and outstanding career opportunities for high potential employees,” said
Geraldine McBride, President & CEO, SAP Asia Pacific Japan. “We build upon our own
technology to continually improve our talent development programmes, empowering employees
to grow their own careers.”

region by adding 3384 full time employees in 2007, bringing the regional total to more than 9500
