Award recognises alliance’s effectiveness in delivering value to joint customers
Singapore — SAP Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) today announced that it was honoured as HP Software and Solutions’ Best Alliance Partner of 2008.
The inaugural award, given out by HP Software and Solutions, is recognition of how effective the two-decade-long alliance between SAP and HP has been in delivering value to joint customers.
Through the collaboration with HP, SAP is able to leverage HP solutions to help customers reduce IT complexity and operational costs and mitigate the risk of launching new or upgraded SAP applications, thereby helping them accelerate their business growth.
Through this seamless integration and alignment, customers are able to build businesses that are more agile and responsive through a simplified IT infrastructure, streamlined operations and optimised use of resources.
“We are happy to see the success of the alliance between SAP and HP. Working together to deliver joint solutions and greater value to customers is important to us as this ensures that our customers are getting the right solutions to meet their specific business needs,” said Geraldine McBride, President of SAP APJ. “The collaboration of SAP and HP creates a good foundation for our customers to build a solid IT infrastructure in order to remain competitive.”
Providing World-Class Solutions to Worldwide Customers
Together, SAP and HP deliver a comprehensive portfolio of integrated solutions for managing every aspect of business operations, including servers, storage, imaging and printing solutions and management software. These solutions are developed for various industries, such as financial services, manufacturing and network service providers.
Through close collaboration on best practices, joint development and quality testing, the SAP and HP alliance provides solutions, such as SAP LoadRunner by HP and SAP Quality Centre by HP, that are completely aligned with the customer’s business and yet adaptable to change and open to innovation.
These integrated solutions also grant customers better visibility into their business operations, making for greater efficiency and agility, improved performance, lower costs and mitigated risks.
For example, HP is playing a key quality management role in SAP’s Best-Run Now software bundles, aimed at making more effective use of IT investments in today’s turbulent world. This ensures the reduction of risks arising from integration and new software features, as well as the maximising of the software’s effectiveness in delivering business results.
“Customers can rapidly respond to business changes, while mitigating the risk associated with these changes by implementing HP and SAP solutions,” said Anthony McMahon, Vice President of HP Software and Solutions, Asia Pacific Japan. “The collaboration of HP and SAP enables customers to reduce costs and improve the effectiveness of software testing across the application lifecycle.”
Partners for nearly 20 years, SAP and HP have more than 60,000 joint installations and 25,000 customers. The cooperation between HP and SAP has evolved into a global partnership for technology, services, hosting, alliance support and software partners and as a result, almost half of all SAP solution-based installations run on HP technology.
The HP Software and Solutions’ Best Alliance Partner Award is a new award category and is based on the criteria of executive alignment, top line revenue, market coverage and growth across APJ and commitment of time and resources to the HP partner relationship.
