Makati, Philippines — Mandom Philippines Corporation, a subsidiary of Mandom Corporation (Japan) and exclusive importer and distributor of well-known hair care and cosmetic brands like Gatsby, Pucelle, and Tancho, says they are reaping benefits from the SAP Business One solution.
Implemented by Mandom Philippines five years ago to enhance business productivity, upgrade its accounting system, and prevent discrepancies in reporting. SAP Business One is a single integrated business management application designed for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
Prior to adopting SAP Business One, Mandom Philippines was using a customized accounting system. The customized system fulfilled requirements initially, but led to inaccurate reports and unreliable data when the Company’s operations expanded. The Company found that it was necessary to migrate to a more stable financial system that ensured higher accuracy. This is significant as the Company’ management relies on the reports to make critical business decisions.
“What we needed was a system that required less people to manage but, at the same time, allowed us to generate financial reports as accurately as possible, and as expeditiously as needed,” said Carmelita Abejar, accounting manager at Mandom Phils. Corporation.
With SAP Business One in place, Mandom Philippines’ staff has since shortened the time required to generate reports from one week to just three days. Also, the reports generated now are much more accurate and reliable.
“The transition to SAP Business One was very smooth and because of the excellent technical support from SAP Philippines, we were able to adopt the system quickly and generate the reports quickly as well,” Abejar added.
Jennie Ligones, country manager of SAP Philippines, said: “We are delighted to be able to work with Mandom Philippines to strengthen their operations and bring their business to the next level.”
The SAP Business One solution at Mandom Philippines was deployed by SAP licensed reseller ABM Computech Enterprises, Inc., Mandom Philippines serves many retailers nationwide. It has a lean staff of just 19 employees.
