SINGAPORE — SAP today announced that its Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) business in Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) in 2012 grew 86% year-on-year. SAP expanded its OEM partner base in the region by 25%, with partners such as CleanPoint (Australia), Cogniscient Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (India), Huawei (China), Inteltion (Thailand), ND Software (Japan) and Quanta Computer (Taiwan) signing OEM agreements with SAP in 2012 to further leverage their businesses and drive innovation through technology adoption.

Hitachi, Ltd. has a wide range of IT expertise, including development and manufacturing of IT platforms, system implementation and IT solutions. In cooperation with SAP, Hitachi delivers consulting, system implementation, and management services for the SAP ERP application around the world. Hitachi gained this expertise in SAP software-based system-building from its broad base of customers. Hitachi began its Mobile Device Management Service in October 2012 in the Japanese market. This service, based on the leading SAP Afaria mobile device management system, is a function of Job Management Partner 1 by Hitachi Integrated Systems Management, which has a broad base of customers globally. The partnership enables Hitachi to offer unified management between smart devices and PCs, and scalability and high reliability for large-scale systems that include tens of thousands of devices. First Global Hardware-based SAP OEM Partner

A Taiwanese manufacturer of tablets, PCs, industrial PDAs and in-vehicle (automotive) computing devices, IEIMobile has embedded SAP Afaria and SAP Sybase SQL Anywhere solutions into its professional mobile solutions, which will vigorously drive innovation in mobile industrial products by offering advanced communications and easy-to-use mobile applications. This partnership allows IEIMobile to offer innovative and cost-effective solutions to its clients with a simplified interface, proven technical compatibility and reduced project risk.
First Global OEM Partner for SAP HANA
Global Financial Technology Co., Ltd. (GFT), a leading supplier of intelligent financial information services for the Chinese market, became the first global SAP OEM partner for the SAP HANA platform in 2012. GFT integrates financial information with analysis tools, and assists China’s financial specialists in improving efficiency and accessing the professional and extensive market information via the new generation of intelligent financial information tools. GFT’s financial service software on SAP HANA allows financial enterprises and individual investors to reduce the business data analysis time from hours to seconds via the relevant tools, which is 10,000 times faster than the previous analysis speed. This means that GFT customers can now flexibly adjust resource deployment for internal businesses, so as to adapt to the fast-changing and complex financial market.
In 2013, SAP intends to grow its OEM partner network in APJ further by providing software development kits to partners and educating partners on the newest technologies, including SAP HANA, the SAP Business One application, the SAP Mobile Platform, the SAP Business ByDesign solution and the SAP Business Analytics mobile app. SAP OEM partners will be enabled to develop and sell end-to-end products with high value for their customers.
