SAP Expands Asia Pacific and Japan Leadership Team with New SVP and General Manager of Financial Services

SingaporeIn addition to recent leadership appointments in India and Southeast Asia, SAP (NYSE: SAP) today announced that Mr. Andrew Pitcher has been appointed to the newly-created role of Senior Vice President and General Manager of Financial Services for Asia Pacific and Japan, effective immediately. Pitcher will lead and build on SAP’s rapid regional growth in Banking, Insurance and Capital Markets.

In this new role, Pitcher is responsible for driving the cross-functional development of SAP’s Financial Services business across Asia Pacific and Japan, in tandem with SAP’s global Strategic Industries. Based in Singapore, Pitcher reports directly to Steve Watts, President of SAP Asia Pacific and Japan.

Pitcher is widely recognized in the industry, bringing to SAP 21 years of experience in financial services. Before joining SAP, he spent 17 years with Accenture and previously worked with National Australia Bank as a retail and commercial banker. During his time at Accenture, Pitcher served some of the world’s most significant financial organizations, garnering diverse experience in sales, delivery, technology, client relationship management, and large scale transformation.
