Rolta to Integrate Industry Solutions with SAP HANA® and Other Platform Technology
MUMBAI, India — Rolta and SAP AG (WKN: 716460, NYSE: SAP) today announced a strategic original equipment manufacturer (OEM) agreement where Rolta will integrate numerous industry solutions with platform technology from SAP. Rolta will provide customers across the world with cutting-edge business analytics and Big Data solutions designed to exploit the power of SAP technology by combining Rolta’s products with the database and technology portfolio offered by SAP. The portfolio which includes the SAP® Afaria®, SAP® BusinessObjects™ Business Intelligence platform, SAP HANA® platform, SAP Mobile Platform, SAP® Sybase® Adaptive Server® Enterprise, SAP® Sybase® IQ enterprise edition, and SAP® Sybase® SQL Anywhere® will be embedded in Rolta’s solutions.
The scope of the agreement covers numerous solution suites, including Rolta OneView Suite, Rolta Geospatial Fusion Suite, Rolta iPerspective Suite and Rolta OT-IT Integration Suite. These suites, particularly Rolta OneView, are eminently suited to harness the power of SAP HANA. The sophisticated, field-proven solutions will be integrated with SAP HANA and tailor-made to address an organization’s specific needs, such as business intelligence (BI) and analytics, in industries including oil & gas, chemicals, utilities, manufacturing and transportation.
The integrated operational excellence solution based on Rolta OneView, for example, will offer consistent information with actionable intelligence to stakeholders across the enterprise. It is expected to empower personnel to make timely decisions at different levels of the organization, helping to provide a framework to achieve goals sustainably by integrating mission-critical information across business functions in the enterprise. In addition, based on specific customer requirements, Rolta also offers implementation tools and consultancy services to accelerate technology consolidation and migration to various SAP technology platforms.
Today’s announcement signifies close cooperation between the companies, not only for continuous evolution of Rolta’s products running on newer SAP technologies, but also for tightened collaboration on supporting customers of both companies. While Rolta will be able to independently sell a broad range of SAP platform technology with its products at a global level, this strategic partnership will enable customers to take advantage of the combined solutions more readily due to an aggregated pool of sales resources and support to address different technology requirements and business needs. Through the partnership, existing and prospective customers will be able to benefit from the business value of SAP HANA and more easily incorporate various Rolta solutions into SAP technology environments.
