Asia Pacific customers accelerate journey to the Autonomous Enterprise in Q2

Following the announcement of its global Q2 earnings on July 23, SAP today announced new customers in Asia Pacific that showcase how organizations across the region are beginning to build truly Autonomous Enterprises.

Building the digital engine behind Asia Pacific’s mobility future

In Korea Hyundai Autoever Corp., the key IT and smart mobility arm of Hyundai Motor Group, is modernizing its core enterprise operations with SAP Cloud ERP Private, strengthening its role as the technology backbone for the group’s global automotive and mobility businesses. And in Greater China, BMW Brilliance Automotive Ltd. has also chosen SAP Cloud ERP Private as part of its digital transformation.

AI‑driven transformation from appliances to zinc

Across the region, some of Asia Pacific’s most established industrial and manufacturing leaders are using SAP Business AI to transform their businesses.

Haier Group Company, the Chinese electronics and appliances group that includes globally-recognized brands like Fisher & Payel, Haier Smart Home, and Hoover, has chosen the SAP Business AI Platform. Oki Electric Industry Co., Ltd., a global technology and networking manufacturer based in Japan, is embracing AI‑driven data transformation with SAP Business AI and SAP Business Data Cloud on SAP Cloud ERP Public.

In India, one of the world’s largest specialty generic pharmaceutical companies, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., is adopting SAP Cloud ERP Private, SAP Business Transformation Management, SAP Business Technology Platform and SAP Business AI to support innovation and growth. Grasim Industries Limited, the flagship diversified conglomerate of the Aditya Birla Group, has continued its SAP transformation, choosing SAP Cloud ERP Private, SAP Business Transformation Management, SAP Business Technology Platform and SAP Business AI.

Hindustan Zinc Limited, owned by Vedanta and one of the world’s largest integrated zinc producers, is investing in SAP Cloud ERP Private, SAP Ariba, SAP iCertis, SAP Business Technology Platform and SAP Business AI. “At Hindustan Zinc, our digital transformation goes beyond technology modernisation—it is about enabling autonomous commercial function,” said Mubarik Khan, Chief Commercial Officer, Hindustan Zinc Limited. “By embedding SAP Business AI into our business processes … we are simplifying everyday work, accelerating decision-making, and creating the foundation for an intelligent, AI-driven enterprise.”

India’s finance, metals and fashion leaders simplify operations and connect experiences in the cloud

India continues to embrace SAP innovation. Birlasoft Limited, a prominent Indian IT services company, is continuing to transform with SAP Ariba, SAP Concur and Office‑of‑the‑CFO solutions integrated with its SAP core. The company noted, “We didn’t set out to buy software, we set out to simplify how finance works at Birlasoft. SAP Concur, Ariba, and Multi-Bank Connectivity give us a single, connected platform on our SAP S/4HANA core, and a clear path to touchless operations and real-time financial visibility across all our 20+ entities across multiple geographies.”

Industrial and manufacturing firms across India are taking similar steps. Leading companies including Agrawal Metal Works Pvt. Ltd. and Electrosteel Castings Ltd. have chosen SAP Cloud ERP Private as part of their transformation. And in India’s consumer sector, Miniklub Retail Pvt. Ltd., a fast‑growing children’s fashion retail brand, will use SAP’s public cloud to drive sustainable growth. The company noted, “SAP Cloud ERP Public empowers our businesses to simplify operations, connect every business function, automate routine processes, and make faster, data-driven decisions, enabling sustainable growth and continuous innovation in a rapidly changing business environment.”

Asia Pacific firms modernize their digital cores

In Japan, some of the world’s leading enterprises are deepening their partnerships with SAP. Itochu Corporation, one of Japan’s largest and most diversified conglomerates, has chosen the RISE with SAP journey to get key benefits from SAP Cloud ERP Private and SAP Business Technology platform. Itochu has completed a clean‑core SAP rollout across fifty global locations and is now focused on autonomous innovation with SAP.

Also in Japan, NSK Ltd. has chosen a suite of SAP solutions including SAP Cloud ERP Private, SAP Business Technology Platform, SAP Integrated Business Planning, SAP Ariba, SAP SuccessFactors, and SAP Concur.

Vietnam’s leading jeweller, DOJI Gold & Gems JSC, has also continued its SAP journey. The company’s CIO, Hoang Anh Tuan, noted, “Moving to SAP Cloud ERP Private marked a major step in DOJI’s digital transformation. The new platform gives us the scalability, integration, and real-time insight we need to serve our customers better and manage a fast-growing retail network with confidence.”

Ok Tedi Mining Limited, one of Papua New Guinea’s largest mining operations, is investing in its future innovation with SAP Business Technology Platform.

The company noted, “As a mid-sized miner, Ok Tedi is leveraging SAP Business Technology Platform to enhance its operations processes.  Deploying and realising benefits within weeks, SAP allows Ok Tedi to run more efficiently and continue to drive operation excellence.”

Genesis Energy in New Zealand is investing in SAP SuccessFactors, noting “SAP SuccessFactors has helped Genesis Energy digitise many aspects of their HR function, from core data to onboarding, learning, performance, and succession.” 

GPC Asia Pacific, a leading automotive parts distributor, is moving to SAP Commerce Cloud support its continued growth, noting, “Our number one priority for the move to SAP Commerce Cloud was to build a stable platform that could scale with increasing demand. By moving to SAP Commerce Cloud, we achieved significant performance improvement. The support, expertise, and partnership provided by SAP throughout our migration to the cloud played an important role in helping us achieve this outcome.” 

Sichuan Shuyi Wisdom Supply Chain, a China‑based supply‑chain specialist, is leveraging SAP Supply Chain Management, while SinoAmerican Shanghai Sybril Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd., a joint venture in pharmaceuticals, is accelerating digital transformation SAP Cloud ERP Private and the SAP Cloud Integration Suite.
