Building on SAP\u2019s success and presence over the past 32 years in the APJ region, Marriott will be responsible for leading and driving SAP\u2019s growth spanning Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, the Indian subcontinent and South East Asia, continuing the region\u2019s role as a global growth engine for the company. The region is also the largest carbon dioxide polluter in the world, with an estimated 17 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide emitted annually. We aim to onboard the top organizations through 2021 to our <a href=\"https:\/\/news.sap.com\/tags\/climate-21\/\">Climate 21<\/a> initiative in APJ \u2013 \u201821 in 21\u2019, to help reduce their carbon footprint,\u201d said Paul Marriott, President, SAP Asia Pacific Japan.<\/p>\n<p>SAP\u2019s Climate 21 initiative will help customers manage their green line by providing insights for them to assemble, assess and act on their carbon emissions footprint along the supply and value chain.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will continue to embrace cultural, gender and generational diversity. SAP will provide an environment for female leaders to succeed, nurture young talent, and promote a culture of lifelong learning to build the workforce of tomorrow in Asia now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Over the past year, businesses across all industries pivoted digitally to circumvent COVID-19 disruptions. This is made possible with speed and at scale with cloud technology. SAP\u2019s extensive portfolio includes Industry Cloud, Business Technology Platform, and S\/4HANA Enterprise Resource Planning to help organizations manage their top line and bottom line.<\/p>\n<p>In January 2021, <a href=\"https:\/\/news.sap.com\/2021\/01\/rise-with-sap-revolutionize-customer-business-transformation\/\">RISE with SAP<\/a> was announced to offer customers at all stages of digital transformation, a completely new way to redesign processes for better business outcomes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAgile organizations that are able to adapt their business processes will thrive. Through RISE with SAP, customers will be able to transform into Intelligent Enterprises in the cloud and take the lead in their industry,\u201d Marriott continued.<\/p>\n<p>In APJ, cloud revenue increased 18% (IFRS) and 21% (non-IFRS at constant currencies) with Japan, South Korea and Singapore being highlights. Cloud and software revenue was flat (IFRS) and up 2% (non-IFRS at constant currencies).
