SAP NEWSBYTE — Once again this year, SAP will be back as an exhibition partner on March 14-18 at CeBIT 2016. Under the theme “Live Business Is Simple,” the SAP booth in Hall 4 will be welcoming attendees with an exciting program of electrifying live scenarios, guided tours, high-profile talks, and panel discussions designed to get the conversation started.
The digital economy is ushering in fundamental changes in virtually every business process imaginable. These days, IT solutions and business expertise go hand in hand. SAP helps companies achieve the agility and flexibility they need to respond to the challenges presented by the digital economy. SAP will be using its presence at CeBIT 2016 to show how organizations can start their own digital transformation and integrate business processes across all their lines of business in real time using SAP S/4HANA.
Those who visit the SAP booth will have the chance to experience this process up close and personal. The scenarios presented will cover the Allianz Arena in Munich, for example, where event managers are using real-time integration and data analysis to improve security and logistics. It’s all part of an effort to make the match day experience unforgettable for every sports fan – from buying tickets and finding their “connected seats” to making their way back home. This case will also demonstrate how organizers are using the Internet of Things to bring events together and manage the entire stadium in real time. Intriguing live scenarios will illustrate the advantages of intelligent business networks, as well. Based on the example of how Germany is managing the construction of the A8 autobahn, attendees will see how companies can leverage business networks and the Internet of Things to integrate processes, simplify complex projects, and get more agile and flexible. This includes using SAP Fieldglass solutions for resource procurement and SAP Concur software for employee travel management. The SAP Ariba network, meanwhile, can facilitate everything from spare parts procurement to predictive maintenance on construction equipment, while pay-per-feature business models make it possible to activate functions of smart products at the push of a button.
Additional demos on the future of retail, SAP S/4HANA, and real-time decision making, as well as a heat map of the SAP booth, will complete SAP’s new vision of “live business”. The SAP Run Simple Truck – a mobile showroom the company will be parking right in front of the exhibition center – will also present further use cases for innovative software solutions.
SAP’s presence at CeBIT 2016 will focus on its solutions for small and midsize companies, as well. Selected SAP partners will be providing insights into the company’s offerings for SMEs, from all-inclusive packages to industry solutions and analytics tools – in both on-premise and cloud variants.
Along with all the solutions at the SAP booth, a series of featured attractions will be hitting the CeBIT stage. Interesting talks and panel discussions will be held by SAP executives like CTO Bernd Leukert, who will be delving into the issues at the heart of the digital transformation. To help attendees comprehend the wide variety of demos and examples on display, SAP experts will also be offering guided tours of the exhibition area’s highlights.
