OCS implements solution to streamline HR and payroll system for 30,000 UK employees

LondonOCS Group, the UK’s largest privately-owned property services group, has chosen SAP to manage human resources and payroll across its 120 sites in the UK.

The OCS Group is using mySAP Human Resources to help implement best practice HR, streamline business processes and cut administrative costs across its 14 UK trading companies.

A pilot project at one of the trading companies is currently being developed and the solution will be rolled out to all 14 operating companies over the next two years. Plans to implement additional capabilities of the mySAP.com solution are also under consideration.

“As a service industry with some 30,000 UK employees, the importance of a robust HR and payroll system cannot be emphasised enough,” said Chris Cracknell, chief executive of the OCS Group. “Effective staff recruitment, retention and training are at the very heart of our ability to deliver high standards of service to our customers.”

Joanna Peake, business development manager, business services, at SAP said, “When dealing with this many staff it’s easy to let the admin escalate, which wastes vital time and money. By moving all the departments and staff onto a common HR and payroll platform, OCS Group can ensure greater co-ordination in managing the HR function.”
