London — Thomas Cook UK’s selection of mySAP Financials, mySAP Human Resources, Portals and mySAP Business Intelligence will deliver an enterprise-wide view of vital HR and financial information across the company’s airline, travel agency and tour operator divisions. Providing a highly effective approach to recording and managing this information, the suite of solutions will enable Thomas Cook to gain a more complete picture of its business.
In addition to merging HR and payroll into a single entity, the contract will see roll out of SAP’s web-based Employee Self Services (ESS) solution designed to remove many of the repetitive or administrative tasks from the HR function by allowing employees direct access to HR information and services. A key benefit for Thomas Cook is ESS’ ability to significantly reduce HR-related paperwork. With the new solution, changes to personal details are made online in real time and employees’ pay slips are published online, slashing administrative red tape and improving the accuracy of information.

The mySAP Financials will deliver accurate, up-to-the-minute company wide data required for operational, analytical and collaborative input for financial management. Thomas Cook’s finance area will now have common processing with chartered accounting, enabling them to have the necessary information and analysis for immediate strategic decision-making at their fingertips.
