One single platform across 30 offices worldwide
London — Global law firm Linklaters is starting to enjoy clear benefits from its
new SAP solution.
In May 2003, Linklaters became the first global law firm to implement
solutions from the SAP for Professional Services solution portfolio,
across all of its 30 offices worldwide, allowing the firm to operate on a
single, integrated platform for all its business functions. Solutions included mySAP Business Intelligence, mySAP Human Resources, mySAP Financials and mySAP Customer Relationship Management.
As with any new global implementation of this size, the benefits of the
new solution are being gradually realised. By having all lawyers,
finance, HR and marketing professionals on the same worldwide system, the
integrated software equips the firm to improve its service to clients.
SAP, the world’s leading provider of business software solutions, is used
by many of the world’s top companies – including over 70 percent of
Linklaters’ major clients. It supports the firm’s commitment to providing
a consistent quality of service and administrative functions to all
clients, no matter where they are based in the world.
Simon Thompson, Linklaters IT Director, said:
“As the solution is further deployed, SAP will allow us to drive
efficiencies across the whole firm, including finance and matter
management. In addition, it will help fee earners to better manage their
clients by providing instant and detailed updates on the progress of
engagements anywhere in the world. With our new infrastructure now in
place we will be able to enhance our provision of innovative and high
quality solutions nationally and across multiple jurisdictions.”
Rob Harrison, Sales Manager, Professional Services Sector at SAP, said:
“SAP is delighted that the solution will deliver the integrated platform
to enable Linklaters to run their business more efficiently. By enabling
Linklaters to function on a single platform, the company can provide a
better service to its clients as well as internally. We are committed to
providing a high level of service to Linklaters to ensure their continued
success in the global legal market place”.
