Property support services Group makes strategic move with £2m investment

LondonFacilities management group OCS has revolutionised the way it pays 33,000 staff by bringing together 14 different software systems into a single mySAP HR Payroll, installed by the group and SAP Consulting.

OCS’s Director of ICT Jenny Sener said: “After six months’ rigorous assessment, we chose SAP over three other leading suppliers because its solution was best equipped to meet our complex IT payroll requirements – we run a very diverse and geographically dispersed business.

“SAP is helping OCS meet a key business objective – delivering management reports of our entire labour costs, right down to contract and site level.”

The adoption of mySAP HR, as part of the mySAP Business Suite, helps OCS achieve its ‘One Complete Solution’ strategic objective of harmonising its business processes and improving its quality of service.

The mySAP HR Payroll solution will allow OCS to get a unified view for the first time of its payroll data, including time management and legal reporting. It also will mean greater speed and accuracy of reporting, automation of manual tasks and reductions in resourcing costs.

Other business benefits will include implementing best-practice HR and payroll management to improve staff retention and motivation, and better management of compliance with company policies and legislation.

OCS’s deployment of mySAP HR Payroll is part of an integrated information system initiative being built for cost control and strategic marketing. In addition to mySAP HR Payroll, OCS will take advantage of the mySAP Business Suite by rolling out mySAP Business Intelligence.
