SAP APPOINTS UK GENERAL MANAGER TO GLOBAL PUBLIC SECTOR ROLE

LondonSAP AG (NYSE: SAP) today announced the appointment of Ian Swann to the role of VP and Director of Public Sector for the Global Public Services business unit. In this newly created role, Mr.Swann has overall responsibility for the company’s government solution strategy. He will continue to be based in the UK office, working closely with the business unit in Washington DC. Mr. Swann previously held the position of General Manager, Service Industries, within SAP UK and Ireland. Since joining SAP in 1998, he has helped the UK organisation build its public services customer base to around 100 UK local and central government customers.

Mr. Swann takes responsibility for SAP’s global strategy within local and central government, shaping the company’s solutions to enable successful government transformation. He will also manage the company’s relationship with World Organisations such as UNICEF, the World Food Program; and numerous development projects funded by the World Bank.
