England & Wales’ largest water utility consolidates operations with SAP solutions in collaboration with CSC, to meet with the demands of an increasingly challenging industry
London — SAP today announced that Anglian Water, a leading provider of water and wastewater services, has selected SAP’s industry specific solution, SAP for Utilities, to strengthen the company’s ability to meet the unique demands of the water industry including increasing demand for water with limited resources, heightened customer services requirements and an ever-changing regulatory environment. Working with CSC, Anglian Water’s IT outsource provider, Anglian Water is looking to offer more customer orientated services to its six million industrial, commercial and domestic customers, whilst reducing operating costs, and increasing efficiencies.
Central to Anglian Water’s IT strategy is to consolidate many of its legacy systems, previously featuring a network of disparate interfaces onto SAP. SAP for Utilities offers industry-specific functionality that integrates well with existing applications thereby reducing costs and simplifying processes across the business. Anglian Water has already gone-live with SAP’s enterprise asset management solution and is currently implementing SAP’s billing and customer care solution.
A key benefit to bringing the billing and asset functions onto SAP’s solution is that the Call Agents will have access to all customer information both operational and billing.
