London — Britannia Building Society has today announced that it has in sourced its payroll and HR administration, selecting mySAP from SAP, a leading provider of business software solutions in conjunction with implementation partner, Pecaso and hosting partner, Attenda.
People are at the very heart of the Britannia Building Society business strategy and they believe that they demonstrate this throughout the business by always striving to further develop their people to enhance their capability and performance. To support this, Britannia has chosen ‘mySAP Business Suite’ from SAP as its partner to support streamlining and improving HR processes across the business through its “PeoplePlus” change programme. SAP is a leading provider of business software solutions and will be working at Britannia with their implementation provider, Pecaso and the accredited SAP Hosting partner, Attenda.
Britannia is the UK’s 2nd largest building society with 3 million members, and employs some 4400 people at its offices in Leek Staffordshire, London, Bristol and Plymouth and across 252 branches throughout the UK. Britannia is currently replacing its HR system and outsourced payroll system with mySAP ERP HCM and is planning to roll-out manager and employee self service as phase 2 of the programme.
As part of the PeoplePlus programme, Britannia is carrying out a whole scale review of its people systems to ensure they continue to be an employer of choice and remain a great place to work, grow and develop, maintaining industry leading employee satisfaction levels.
The mySAP Business Suite will help streamline HR process to enable Britannia management to be more effective in providing HR solutions for all their people. This will include introducing choice around benefits through a flexible benefits plan, branded “Mutual Benefits” and ultimately enabling on-line career planning, personal development and support for the performance management process.

Britannia is using Sun Microsystems as its’ technology platform.
