Manufacturer selects SAP to grow business and improve customer satisfaction

LondonSAP AG (NYSE: SAP) today announced that Heatmiser UK, a leading manufacturer of industrial and domestic heating control products, has selected SAP™ Business One in order to provide a better level of service to it’s customers.

Replacing two best-of-breed systems from Sage and Herschel, SAP Business One will provide Heatmiser with a single view of its customers. The two old programmes were not integrated, which meant information was re-keyed manually leading to inaccuracies in the data and a poor understanding of customer activity. SAP Business One allows customer accounts to be tracked, resulting in a better level of support staff are able to provide to customers.

“Heatmiser looked at both SAP Business One and Pegasus Opera but we chose to go with SAP because it included an integrated CRM and MRP module. It met our business needs heads-on. We have just gone live on the system and expect our repeat business from existing customers to increase considerably,” said Martyn Kay, Director, Heatmiser.

“This win continues our successful track record of providing small businesses with the technology that helps them to grow. The project has been a complete success taking only six weeks from Heatmiser signing the deal to go-live,” commented Ciaran Rafferty, SME Director, SAP UKI.

“We are extremely proud to have worked with Heatmiser throughout the implementation of their SAP Business One system and look forward to helping Martyn and his staff extend SAP Business One into areas of their business”, said Lindsay Pointon, Director, Signum Solutions Ltd – SAP Business One implementation partner for Heatmiser.
