Middx — – SAP UKI, today announces the appointment of Teri Ellison as HR Director, effective immediately. Within this role, Teri is responsible for managing a team of 13 dedicated to all HR functions within the UK and Ireland. The team supports recruitment, contracts, training, rewards and benefits for approximately 800 employees.
“We have won highly acclaimed awards in the US and Germany for being an employer of choice and my ambition is to achieve this status in the UKI. We have a committed, talented workforce in the UKI, which in the current climate is one of the hardest things to achieve so I believe that this journey has already started,” Teri commented.
As part of it’s growth plans, SAP recently acquired Business Objects, the market leader in Business Intelligence software. Teri will be responsible for managing the culture change as a result of this integration, as well as clearly communicating progress and plans around bringing the two companies together in the UK & Ireland.
Teri brings an enormous amount of experience to SAP having worked in the IT sector for the last 15 years with companies including Microsoft, Fujitsu, Cable & Wireless and ICL. She joins the company after a two year period of managing her own organisation that provided consultancy to small and medium businesses looking to develop HR capability and specialised in helping leaders and managers develop their skills.
“Globally, SAP has a target of reaching 100,000 customers by 2010, in the UK & Ireland we want to double the size of our business in the same timeframe. It is my view that HR plays an instrumental role in this by continuously supporting the business so that we grow profitably, with the right people in place. Teri has proven experience in delivery and directing HR programmes that impact the way organizations operate so I am delighted that she has decided to join us and wish her every success in her role,” said Steve Rogers, SAP UKI Managing Director.
