SAP Appoints Roger Bellis to Lead New HR Function for Talent, Leadership, and Organizational Development

WALLDORF, GermanySAP AG (NYSE: SAP) today announced the immediate appointment of Roger Bellis to senior vice president (SVP) of Global Talent, Leadership, and Organizational Development. In this role, Bellis will lead a newly formed global HR function, responsible for driving organizational, talent and leadership development throughout the organization. Programs driven by the new unit will focus on honing leadership capabilities, providing advanced learning opportunities for employees and ensuring that organizational changes are more effective and impactful. Bellis will report to Dr. Angelika Dammann, member of the SAP Executive Board responsible for Human Resources.

“Human resources is a key element in SAP’s transformation and corporate growth strategy, and Roger is a master at helping companies make the most out of change,” said Dammann. “As we continue the process of simplifying the organization, accelerating innovation, improving customer focus and further empowering our workforce, Roger will play a crucial role in our success.”

Prior to joining SAP, Bellis was group director of Human Resources at a global FTSE 100 business. Previous roles included leadership positions at companies such as Barclays Bank plc, Scottish Power plc and Unilever. Bellis specializes in creating and facilitating the execution of practical business-focused people strategies that build sustainable advantage. He has applied this both as an HR leader and as an external consultant. Through broad experience in multiple sectors, including B2B, B2C and financial services, Bellis has developed deep expertise in organization design and development, leadership and executive development, and change management. He has also designed and led the transformation of HR functions into business-focused change agents with a strong service delivery ethic.
