Acityabode has Room for SAP to Look After Business Needs and Enable Growth

Start-up company offering high quality alternative to hotel accommodation selects SAP Business One to underpin the business

FELTHAM, MiddlesexSAP today announced that acityabode has selected SAP Business One to take care of business processes and support the company as it grows. Acityabode, an innovative entrepreneurial business that lets apartments on a nightly, weekly and monthly basis in Cardiff, Bristol, Belfast and most recently Birmingham as a different option to hotel accommodation, has grown quickly since its creation only three years ago.

As a new and growing business, acityabode needed an integrated system that could easily support day to day activities and processes, and also scale as the company expanded. The company’s existing system was not able to support their growing business needs. Users needed to generate reports required to make everyday decisions and did not want to continue to enter data manually. The company felt that there was too much administration associated with the legacy system.

“We knew that SAP had a strong SME portfolio and is a leader in the ERP space,” said Alexandra Gazzard, Managing Director and Founder, acityabode. “Working with Culex Consulting (SAP Gold Channel Partner), our implementation partner, we selected SAP Business One because we felt it was the best offering for our needs. We currently only have one user on the system but felt the investment was certainly worth it; we will easily be able to scale up, adding users as the business grows and we move into different locations.”

Since going live in October 2010, acityabode has realized a number of benefits. As a fully integrated system, SAP Business One has enabled the company to access relevant information at the right time, create reports that enable accurate decision making, reduce administration and streamline processes.

Gazzard continues, “SAP Business One is exactly the system we required to underpin the company and we have already seen it add value to the business as we recently secured investment. We are also looking to integrate SAP Business One with our online booking system so that we are fully synched up and can offer an even better experience to our customers.”

John Antunes, new Head of SME at SAP UK & Ireland said, “Acityabode is a great example of a young, innovative company that has grown very quickly. We hope to continue supporting acityabode as the organization continues on its path of success. Small businesses should be able to have access to the technology to support their needs so that they can compete and be successful in the marketplace; acityabode is living proof that this is possible.”
