Zetes Identifies SAP as Platform for Growth

LONDON, UKSAP (UK) Limited is pleased to announce that Zetes, the leading pan-European company in the value-added solutions and services industry for Automatic Identification of Goods and People, has selected SAP Business All-in-One solutions for their operations in the UK, Ireland and the Nordics.

Zetes has operations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and currently has 850 employees with revenues of €217 million. In the United Kingdom the company has experienced rapid growth during the last three years. This growth has resulted in Zetes outgrowing its existing systems and needing to invest in a solution that would scale with the business.

“Up until now, we have been using multiple systems and spreadsheets, which are time consuming and because they are not integrated, have inaccuracies. We currently have three separate systems holding customer data, which has resulted in issues with invoicing and delivery of goods,” said James Hannay, Managing Director, Northern Europe, Zetes. Hannay continued, “As a Leadership Team of the region, it is really important that we have an accurate picture of the status of the business, and we need to have access to data in a timely manner so that we can make effective business decisions. Our current systems mean that we have a great deal of duplicate data and pulling reports at month end can take a considerable amount of time.”

Zetes looked at a number of vendor offerings in the marketplace, but felt that the SAP solution was the right fit for the business both to resolve the immediate business pains, and also to provide a scalable platform for the future that will continue to support the business. Being a partner of SAP already, Zetes also has a good understanding of the SAP product and the benefits it can bring to an organization. The SAP software will be implemented by itelligence.

Justin Brading, Managing Director, itelligence, commented; “Like other companies, Zetes was growing quickly but to support the growth, they also had to increase headcount, which was impacting the profits on the bottom line. SAP Business All-in-One will support the business growth through automated processes, which means that they do not need to increase headcount to manage systems, but employees can be re-distributed to value added jobs and spending their time supporting customers. Zetes had previously spent two weeks pulling reports at month end – we aim to get that down to one to two days.”

John Antunes, Director of SME and Channels at SAP (UK) Limited welcomes Zetes; “We are delighted that Zetes has chosen to invest in SAP. We already have a strong relationship with the company as they are a very important partner for us in the UK, and we are excited that they have decided to take further steps with us and itelligence. We wish Zetes every success and will work closely with the team there to ensure all of their objectives for this project are met.”

Following the go-live of SAP Business All-in-One in May, Zetes will begin to implement SAP BusinessObjects.
