SAP and Sybase Ecosystem Now Offering an Attractive Mobility Stack to Better Serve High Customer Demand for Mobile Solutions
WALLDORF, Germany — Less than one year following its acquisition of Sybase, an industry leader in enterprise and mobile software, SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) is opening up mobile solutions from the Sybase portfolio to partners within the global SAP ecosystem. This marks the first time that SAP value-added resellers (VARs) currently authorized to sell SAP® BusinessObjects™ and SAP® Business All-in-One solutions get the opportunity to sell select Sybase-branded enterprise mobility apps and solutions for application development, device management and security, and more. The release broadens the availability of combined SAP and Sybase solutions within the market and delivers new mobile and revenue opportunities to more than 3,000 potential SAP partners.

The following Sybase solutions are available through the SAP ecosystem today:
- Afaria®: The industry’s most powerful and flexible mobile device management and security solution for the enterprise. It provides IT with a single administrative console to centrally manage, secure and deploy mobile data, applications and devices,
- Sybase® Unwired Platform: A mobile enterprise application platform that simplifies the development, deployment and management of mobile enterprise applications. It addresses the difficult mobile application challenges of back-office integration, secure access for mobile devices into the enterprise, reliable push data synchronization and support for multiple device types.
- Sybase® Mobile Sales application for SAP CRM: Provides anywhere, anytime access to the SAP® Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) application from iPhone and Windows Mobile smartphones, with support planned for additional devices such as BlackBerry.
- Sybase® Mobile Workflow application for SAP Business Suite: Enables mobile workers to complete business processes – such as workflow items and alerts, time recording and travel requests that require immediate action – through a familiar and secure email inbox
By leveraging the expertise of trusted partners, SAP enterprise customers can now gain a new, clear path to leading enterprise mobility solutions from Sybase. Partners have the option of reselling these solutions or using them as platforms from which to offer connected services or build customized applications. These specialized offerings can extend enterprise functionality above and beyond what the solution provides out the box.
