Professional Services Business Moves to Cloud Based Solution in Just Twelve Hours

Feltham, UKSAP UK & Ireland today announces that IT consultancy, CompriseIT, has gone live with SAP Business ByDesign CRM and HR management starter packs after implementing it themselves in just twelve hours. The solution will streamline business processes, enable the organisation to become more efficient in its sales cycle, manage employees and will provide a platform to support the company’s fast growth plans.

Formed just over four years ago, CompriseIT is a UK based consultancy that specialises in offering customers custom built web and mobile architectures, applications, training and support to work on top of the SAP Business Applications using the SAP NetWeaver®platform and the SAP Unwired Platform. The company has grown quickly over the last few years to a business with 20 employees and plans to at least double in size over the next two years. Up until now, CompriseIT has been using various IT systems to support the business including Quickbooks for accounting, excel spreadsheets for HR and a home grown CRM system. These systems have fulfilled the requirements of the business to date, but they will not support the business as it continues to expand with processes now involving multiple stakeholders.

“We made the decision to implement a new IT system that would ensure we could sustain our growth and operate effectively. Initially we looked at Salesforce as getting a new CRM system in place was our main priority but we decided against this solution as we wanted something that would be able to fully integrate into all other areas of the business such as finance and our agile software development tool Jira using the delivered web services,” said Owen Pettiford, Co-CEO, Comprise IT.

Pettiford continued; “SAP Business ByDesign was the perfect fit for us for many reasons; we know and trust the SAP brand – we don’t want to invest in a company that won’t be around in the future, the functionality fits with our needs, and just as importantly, SAP has offered us the option of starting with CRM and HR and then switching in additional functionality as and when we need it in one fully integrated product. We also believe that SAP Business ByDesign will become one of the systems we build applications on top of in the near future”

CompriseIT chose to implement the solution themselves, going live after approximately twelve hours of implementing and data migration; which clearly demonstrates the remarkable speed with which SAP Business ByDesign can be deployed.

Ian Anstey, Head of SAP Business ByDesign in the UK said, “We are really excited about the fact that CompriseIT has implemented CRM and HR so easily and in such a short timeframe. It shows how intuitive the solution is, which completely backs up the fact that this software is easy to use. The sales team at CompriseIT is now ready to go and can access customer data from anywhere, on any device and at any time, ensuring the most is made of every sales opportunity. This is just the start of their journey with Business ByDesign and the team at SAP will be with them helping to coach them as they explore the systems features and implement finance, billing and Jira integration.”

“We believe we are now fully prepared for company growth with a sophisticated IT system in place that will support us the whole way and scale with us – I don’t expect to have to implement anymore software,” concluded Pettiford.
