SAP and Rob ‘Voltage’ Cross Announce 2018 Darts Championship Sponsorship Deal

LONDON, United Kingdom — March 27, 2018 SAP is entering the world of darts and will be sponsoring professional darts player and reigning PDC World Darts Champion Rob ‘Voltage’ Cross in 2018.  With its logo positioned on the top left breast on Rob ‘Voltage’s shirt, SAP will be highly visible and so, able to re-enforce its commitment to the world of sport.

As part of the sponsorship, Rob Cross will work with the SAP team exploring how SAP’s technology and analysis tools can enhance individual performance and impact the sport. He will also attend several in-person signature events sharing his knowledge and experience of SAP with those who are interested in a career at SAP.

Rob expressed his excitement in partnering with SAP. He said: “SAP is the ideal sponsor for me, they are already doing so much in football, skiing, sailing, tennis and more. The sport of darts will really benefits from greater input from an  organization like SAP to not only grow the public’s interest, but also to see how biometric analysis technology can help players improve, I am very excited to see how it will help me.”

Rob added: “Aside from technology, SAP’s Employment Brand ‘Bring everything you are. Become everything you want.’ really speaks to me. I can relate to it very well particularly when I think of my journey over the last 12 months and achieving the World Championship win.”

Matthew Jeffery, VP of Global Employment Branding stated: “A mere 12 months ago, Rob was an electrician, supporting his wife and three children, watching the World Championship Darts Final on television like millions of families. Through hard work, grit, and sheer talent, he climbed the summit to win the World Championship. Rob’s story shows that you can achieve anything you dream, and that is the very same message SAP employees share their successes and journeys with each other through our ‘Life@SAP initiative’.”
