Ellie Lamey To Head Up SAP UKI Retail And Wholesale Distribution

LONDON – SAP UKI has announced that Ellie Lamey has been appointed as Industry Sales Director for Retail and Wholesale Distribution, effective immediately.

Ellie is a real SAP success story, having joined as the UKI’s first intern 10 years ago and went on to help set up the very successful Internship Programme which continues to thrive today.

After receiving a First-Class Honours degree, Ellie returned to SAP, initially working in Operations before moving to a role in pre-sales. Ellie was in the very first wave of the then newly launched SAP Sales Academy in 2014 and moved to an Industry AE role in Retail, where she has enjoyed success in existing and new client acquisition accounts.

In her new role, Ellie will lead the Retail and WD team, driving SAP’s global strategy and helping our key UK customers become Intelligent Enterprise Retailers and leverage Experience Management to drive competitive advantage. Ellie will report into Jens Amail, Managing Director, UK & Ireland.

Jens Amail said: “The UK retail sector is undergoing major transformation and is a key focus for us in the UK. With our major differentiator in Experience Management there’s a tremendous opportunity for us to help our customers drive more disruption and grow their business. I cannot think of anyone who embodies SAP’s recent past and future more than Ellie and it is against this background that I am delighted to support Ellie in the next stage of her SAP career.”

Ellie Lamey, Industry Sales Director for Retail and Wholesale Distribution, UKI said: “I could not be prouder and more excited to take on this new opportunity, running Retail for SAP UKI. Retail is where my passion lies and there is no better place to take on this new challenge than where I know the industry, customers, team and SAP culture. Retail as an industry is going through some turbulent times, however I truly believe that with our innovation and drive around customer obsession we can push new boundaries and new transformations in the UK.”
