LONDON <\/strong>\u2014<\/em> SAP SE<\/a> (NYSE: SAP) today announced that Satpal Biant has been appointed as Head of Public Sector for SAP UK & Ireland, reporting into managing director Michiel Verhoeven.<\/p>\n

In his new role, Satpal will focus on how SAP will support UK&I public sector achieve its digital transformation aspirations, whilst driving SAP\u2019s commercial sales and consumption growth.<\/p>\n

Satpal joins SAP having spent ten years at Microsoft UK, covering a variety of sales leadership roles, most recently as Chief Operating Officer for its UK Public Sector Enterprise business.<\/p>\n

Satpal has been in IT Sales, Service and Management for 21 years, covering all sectors within Public Sector, driven by his passion for helping customers achieve societal impact and outcomes. Prior to joining Microsoft, Satpal was a Bid Director working for RM Plc, delivering complex and transformational IT Managed Services projects into the Education market.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis year has been a fast forward for digital transformation as mandated home working has necessitated it,\u201d said Michiel Verhoeven, Managing Director, SAP UK and Ireland. \u201cThe public sector\u2019s digital transformation will have immense and long-lasting benefits to the country\u2019s citizens and as SAP has become increasingly relevant, we are excited to have Satpal lead our team. He brings a wealth of experience to SAP and will be pivotal in us achieving our ambitions in the sector.\u201d<\/p>\n

Satpal replaces Leila Romane who was covering the role on an interim basis. Leila will now dedicate herself fully to the HXM team as Head of SAP SuccessFactors UK & Ireland.<\/p>\n
