SAP Announces New Leadership Duo for Its Swiss Business

SAP NEWSBYTE – July 21, 2023 – SAP SE has named Sabrina Storck and Thomas Schreitmüller as the new Managing Directors of SAP (Schweiz) AG, effective immediately. The duo replaces Michael Locher-Tjoa, who has taken on a new management role in SAP’s Greater China region. Michael Haldimann and Florian Dreifus join the management team as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) respectively.

A new generation takes the helm

Sabrina Storck and Thomas Schreitmüller enjoy an excellent reputation in the Swiss market. Their appointment as co-leaders of SAP’s Swiss subsidiary demonstrates that the company’s succession plan is both strong and future focused. The move also highlights the company’s focus on talent development and a modern and diverse leadership culture. Sabrina Storck is the first woman to become a managing director of SAP (Schweiz) AG.

“This appointment hands responsibility for SAP’s Swiss business to two top managers who are also long-standing SAP employees,” says Alex Kläger, president of the Middle and Eastern Europe (MEE) region. “They are very attuned to what our Swiss customers, our ecosystem, and our employees need. Their wealth of experience in transformation and cloud business, and their strong customer focus will enable them to significantly contribute to SAP’s growth strategy in Switzerland.”

Market, customer, and digitalization expertise

Sabrina Storck began her career at SAP 15 years ago. She became Chief Operating Officer for Switzerland in 2021 and took on the additional role of interim Sales Director for the SME customer segment and partners in 2022. As COO, she was responsible for the customer advisory and cloud business units, SAP’s own transformation, and operations. Prior to that, she headed Revenue Strategy and Operations for the MEE region. Sabrina Storck completed a business traineeship at SAP and studied international business communication in Stuttgart, Germany.

Thomas Schreitmüller joined SAP in 2008, holding various global and regional specialist and leadership roles in the Finance and Operations organization at SAP headquarters in Germany over the next five years. Since transferring to SAP Switzerland in 2013, he is passionate about digital transformation and innovation in enterprise management. Most recently, he served as CFO and Country Manager for the sales organization at SAP Switzerland and was deputy director of the management board. He holds a degree in business mathematics from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany.

“For almost 40 years now, SAP has been helping Swiss customers digitizing their business,” say Sabrina Storck and Thomas Schreitmüller. “Harnessing the rapid advances in technology that will help tackle the challenges of our time takes a great deal of expertise, collaboration, and diversity. These values are at the heart of everything we do and represent how we and our partners will serve our customers going forward.”

Sustainable business development and efficient processes

Florian Dreifus joined SAP as a student and has since held various management positions. For the past five years, he was COO at SuccessFactors in the MEE region. After completing a degree in business mathematics at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern, he went on to earn a doctorate in business administration from Saarland University in Germany. He brings proven expertise in cloud transformation and HR software to his new role.

Michael Haldimann began his career as a student at SAP in Biel in 2009. Once he had completed his degree in business administration (specializing in accounting) at the University of Applied Sciences in Bern in 2011, he served as a Financial Controller and Head of Controlling before becoming Commercial Director and deputy CFO in 2021. His roles at SAP have enabled him to gain broad-ranging experience in financial management and business development.

SAP founded its Swiss subsidiary, based in Biel, in 1984. The organization oversees sales, consulting, training, and marketing activities for SAP products in Switzerland.
