London — Jazz Pharmaceuticals, a global biopharmaceutical company that develops life-changing medicines, won Silver in the Business Transformation category at the 2019 SAP UKI Quality Awards.

This accolade celebrates the huge success Jazz Pharmaceuticals had with its S/4HANA implementation, in execution, management and results.

The annual SAP UKI Quality Awards acknowledge customers whose implementations of SAP solutions have yielded strong, tangible business value and employed recognised quality principles. The Business Transformation category celebrates those customers whose implementations have overhauled how they do business, with outstanding results.

SAP S/4HANA was implemented by Jazz Pharmaceuticals to replace the organisation’s financial system and deliver a scalable platform to drive operational excellence and ensure global compliance. Jazz Pharmaceuticals now has global standardised processes in key financial areas and visibility across operations and geographies.

“We are delighted to have won an SAP Quality Award. This is testament to the hard work and determination of the team to deliver our business transformation project. We implemented SAP S/4HANA within our global business in only 11 months. This was a remarkable achievement and with the project being recognised by SAP for its high quality standards, this award will inspire our team as we rollout our programme of continuous business improvement,” commented John Mahon, Executive Director, IT Technical Operations & Finance, Jazz Pharmaceuticals.

He continued “There was a strong focus on team wellbeing that was embedded in the spirit of the project. This novel approach considered team members’ wellbeing as important as any other deliverable, and I believe this was a major factor in the success of the project.”

itelligence, the implementing partner, ensured Jazz Pharmaceuticals executed and managed the project in accordance with SAP’s quality principles, engendering a smooth implementation and delivering the sought-after business value.
