SAP Launches Inaugural SAP Best Run Awards for Southeast Asia to Recognize Achievements of Customers

SINGAPORESAP Southeast Asia (NYSE: SAP) today launched the SAP Best Run Awards for SEA to honor, celebrate and publicly recognize the achievements of SAP’s customers across Southeast Asia.

With SAP and the partners’ ecosystem, these organizations would have proven to transform their businesses, drive innovation, and succeed in today’s disruptive economy.

“Peer to peer learning from the best in the industry is essential to innovating for the future. We are pleased to launch the inaugural SAP Best Run Awards for Southeast Asia to recognize the achievements and innovations by organizations across the region and capture their transformative stories so that cross-industry peers can learn from one another,” said Verena Siow, President & Managing Director, SAP South East Asia

Organizations rely on next-generation tools and platforms from SAP to support that they are not just the survivors but also the winners in the hyper-competitive global economy. Participants are encouraged to emphasize new ways of thinking, disruptive use cases, and the deployment of technologies that sets the benchmark for their industry and makes the world run better.

Organizations that have successfully deployed a business application that utilizes any SAP software product, cloud-based service, or other technology can submit entries for any two out of six award categories.

The award categories include:

Most Transformational: The Game Changer Award recognizes mid-to-large enterprises*

that demonstrate a transformational journey. These are businesses that drive change management within large corporates’ complexities from different lines of businesses, achieving sustainable growth and business performance.

Best Innovation: The Disruptor Award recognizes emerging enterprises with a strong culture of innovation. These are businesses that seek creative solutions to persistent problems during unprecedented times, innovate to carve out new markets for themselves, or embrace technology to transform their businesses. ​

Emerging Enterprise (SMEs): The Small but Mighty Award recognizes emerging enterprises that demonstrate an enterprising mindset. These are businesses that drive consistent, significant, and sustainable growth, resulting in excellent business performance; and display the ability to scale and expand overseas.

Best Customer Experience Management: The X Factor Award recognizes organizations that demonstrate a customer-first approach and mindset. These are businesses that have seamlessly created a customer experience through digital transformation.

Most Promising Startup or Entrepreneurship: The Rising Star Award recognizes emerging enterprises with a strong startup sprint. These are startups that have developed a unique and commercially viable idea, which has the potential to be sustained in the long run, have worked with SAP to provide value-added services to our customers.

Most Promising Next Generation Leader: The Trailblazer Award recognizes the next generation leaders in their capacity who have overcome challenges or is a pioneer in its field, creating an impact on leading their organizations, businesses to scale greater heights

Apart from these six categories, the SAP Blue Label award in the Lifetime Achievement category will recognize customers who have been with SAP for at least 20 years and have successfully adopted additional SAP solutions such as the Business Network, Intelligent Suite, or Business Technology Platform over the last 24 months.

The top three finalists for each of the six categories will be announced on 1 February 2021, and the winners will be announced in March 2021. The winners and finalists will be recognized as the leader in innovation through trophies and certificates. A total of USD 30,000 donation will be made on behalf of the winning organizations to the ASEAN Foundation.

Organizations can submit their entries beginning 15 September 2020 midnight SGT to 15 December 2020 midnight SGT. The entries will be evaluated on the following equally weighted criteria:

  • Use Case: How is the Entrant using SAP technology to add value?
  • Outcome: What business or social outcomes has the project realized?
  • Value: What business or social value has the project achieved from deploying the SAP solutions or technologies?
  • Improving People’s Lives: How do the projects impact individuals’ lives either inside or outside the organization?
  • Help Organization Run Better: How is the project applying technology and approaches towards becoming an Intelligent enterprise?
