Vipin Chandran appointed as Managing Director for SAP Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, 27 March 2024 – SAP Southeast Asia (SEA) today announced the appointment of Vipin Chandran as Managing Director of SAP Malaysia. A seasoned business leader with over 25 years of experience, Chandran has a proven track record of building winning teams, fostering partnerships, and delivering successful cloud transformations for customers.

In his new role, Chandran will focus on strengthening the digital transformation capabilities of organisations in Malaysia and accelerating their growth in the rising AI economy. He will also prioritise helping businesses build resilient and agile supply chains and create a more sustainable future.

“Malaysia’s digital economy continues to be one of the country’s strongest and fastest-growing sectors, accounting for more than 23 percent of its GDP last year,” Chandran said. “The country’s latest Budget signals the government’s commitment to continue its transformation into a regional digital powerhouse. I am excited to take the helm at SAP Malaysia at this crucial juncture and look forward to working closely with both public and private sector organisations to navigate this dynamic landscape together.”

Chandran joined SAP in 2008. Prior to this appointment, he was Chief Partner Officer at SAP Southeast Asia, where he was responsible for empowering the success of over 500 partner organisations. Before that, he held various sales, services, and partner leadership roles across various regions.
