Payroll administration is a core business for HR. And keeping a payroll application fully up to date with the latest social legislation is a real challenge, certainly in Belgium. Making payroll available to everyone
The technology behind payroll applications has undergone a radical facelift. The need for high-quality, error-free payroll administration remains. But because applications such as SAP SuccessFactors run in the Cloud, there are now many opportunities to work creatively with your payroll data and applications: mobile, self-service, combinations with other data for both payroll professionals and employees.
Payroll as easy as ordering a pizza
Examples? Check the number of hours worked on your smartphone? Check how many vacation days your employee still has left? Adjust your remuneration package in self-service?
It may sound like science fiction in the closed world of payroll, where data is well protected for privacy reasons and legislation is stringent, but it is technologically possible, and employees expect it.
Because work today is hybrid and mobile. So why shouldn’t an application for payroll administration be just as practical as our app for ordering a Pizza Napoletana online?
Payroll and the new way of working
All the more so because new ways of working are emerging: the gig economy, working five days a week spread over four days, job-sharing, a new focus on well-being which is forcing us to examine all the steps in our payroll administration from the point of view of the employee experience… All the more reason to think about a new payroll framework. We considered a payroll white paper with Luc Bossaert, Chief Strategy Officer at Adessa, Ivan Mostien, International Pre-Sales Director at Alight, and Stéphane Scaillet, Chief Executive Officer Persolis. We came up with three new significant challenges for payroll professionals. You can download the result of these fascinating discussions here. Or watch these 2 minutes videos.
